Why have a system fitted because you’ve been to the local DIY warehouse and seen they do a burglar alarm for £100 - seems good value doesn’t it. Why should you pay a security company XXX amount of pounds when you can get a burglar alarm system this cheaply and install it yourself?
I will agree with you here, in one aspect at least having some form of security for your home is better than nothing at all. The problem with a DIY burglar alarm system is the general rule with most things, “you get what you pay for”!
